Officers investigating a “hit and run” incident involving a cyclist on the A55 on Anglesey last night have made an arrest.

A 60-year-old man was arrested in the Holyhead area during the early hours of this morning (Monday, 20th September).

The cyclist has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke with life-threatening injuries after he was found hurt on the dual carriageway at Valley.

Sergeant Emlyn Hughes of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We continue to appeal to anybody who may have been travelling along the A55 around the time of the collision and who may have dash cam footage to contact us.
