There are lots of reasons to visit Llandudno, whether for the day or for a week or two on holiday. With shops, attractions, parks, and beaches all on offer, it’s impossible to be bored.

If you’re after some evening entertainment, you could do no better than to head for the Llandudno theatre. Known as Venue Cymru, this modern building plays host to many successful productions.

How to get to Venue Cymru

The address for the theatre is The Promenade, Penrhyn Crescent, Llandudno, LL30 1BB. You can reach it from Colwyn Road if travelling from the east, or the A546 into Llandudno from the west. Many other local roads also lead to the theatre. If arriving by train, the theatre is a 12-minute walk away.

What kinds of events and productions are at the theatre?

You can look forward to seeing lots of varied productions at the Llandudno theatre. Among recent and forthcoming events there is something to suit everyone:

• Comedy acts
• Wrestling
• Musicals
• Dance events

Inside the Venue Cymru auditorium

A seating plan for the auditorium is available on the official Venue Cymru website. Rows A to F are directly in front of the stage. There is limited wheelchair seating available just behind this. Rows H to Y then proceed back from the first area of seating towards the rear of the theatre.

The upper level of seating includes the front and rear circle areas and the centre circle. When booking to see a show, you can check where the seating is and which options you prefer.

Box Office information

Whichever show you decide to see, it is advisable to book in advance to guarantee your seats. The opening times for the Box Office are as follows:

Booking by phone

• 10am until 5pm Monday to Saturday

Booking in person at the counter

• 10am until 5.45pm Monday to Saturday

The Box Office hours for Sundays are limited, opening an hour before the performance begins and closing 15 minutes after the show starts. The same hours apply to all Bank Holidays

Treat yourself to lunch in the Y Review restaurant

Open from 12pm until 2.30pm from Tuesday until Saturday each week, the lunch service is advised to be booked in advance to ensure a table is available. The lunch menu is theatre-themed, offering such options as Classic Performers (popular main dishes) and Light Interval Salads for something a little less heavy.
