A dispersal order has been put in place in a town on Anglesey to curb anti-social behaviour.

Police said it follows incidents of anti-social behaviour and harassment in Amlwch in recent days.

The order came into force at 3pm yesterday (November 19, 2021) and will stay in place until 3pm on Sunday afternoon.

It covers large parts of the Amlwch area, including Bull Bay, Penysarn, Twercelyn and Pengorffwysa.

Members of North Wales Police’s Anglesey policing team said: “When a section 35 is in place, a constable in uniform may direct a person who is in a public place in the locality specified in the authorisation to leave the locality and to not return to the locality (or part of the locality) for the period specified.

“This is a proactive power used by the police to keep people safe and we urge communities to work with us and report any information.

“You can contact us via our live webchat or on 101. Alternatively, you can anonymously contact CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.”
