Police Officer hospitalised after attending ‘public order incident’ in Bangor

A Police Officer has been injured following an incident in Maesgeirchen, Bangor earlier this afternoon.

At around 4:30pm a large emergency service response attended to a public order incident on the Tan-y-Bryn area of the estate.

During the arrest of a male at the location an officer was injured and was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident and are urging anybody with information to contact the force on 101 or via the live web chat quoting incident number Y147130.

Officers have since left the area.
