Police issue appeal after arson incident in Bangor as joint investigation launched

Police are appealing for information following an incident of arson in Bangor last night.

North Wales Police were notified by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service shortly before 9.15pm on Monday (5/12) to request assistance with a fire on Holyhead Road.

Officers attended to help with traffic management and the road was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the fire and was reopened shortly before 1am this morning.

North Wales Police said: “A joint investigation has been launched to investigate the circumstances of the fire, which is being treated as arson. We are also working with partners to prevent further fires at the site.

“If you were in the area between 8.30-9.15pm and saw anything suspicious, contact police with information via our website or by calling 101, quoting reference B182973.”
