Police respond to reports of suspicious behaviour near Rhyl school

Police have issued a statement after responding to reports of suspicious behaviour near a school in Rhyl.

Officers were called shortly before 3pm today (Thursday) to Christ the Word Catholic School on Cefndy Road.

However, after looking into the matter, North Wales Police said there is not believed to be any risk to the school.

Chief Inspector David Cust said: “It is understandable there may be concerns, however we don’t believe there to be any risk to the school or the public but we will continue to have a high presence in the area.

“Anyone with information that could assist with our enquiries is asked to contact us on 101, or via the website, quoting reference number Q057681.”
