Denbighshire County Council provides services for those living and working in Denbighshire, a county situated in the north-eastern corner of Wales. The area covers 30 electoral wards.

Where are the main council buildings in Denbighshire?

There are several council-run buildings throughout the county. one of the main ones is the County Hall at Ruthin, which you can visit at Wynnstay Road, Ruthin, LL15 1YN.

This location is a One Stop Shop venue, where residents can find out about various council services. Other One Stop Shops can be found at:

• Corwen Library
• Denbigh Library
• Llangollen Library
• Prestatyn Library
• Rhuddlan Library
• Rhyl Library
• St Asaph Library

The council also has the following locations available:

• Denbighshire Archives
• Register Offices
• Rhyl: Russell House

What is the phone number for Denbighshire Council?

The main number to ring is 01824 706000. This number is open from Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) between 8.30am and 5pm.

Emergency phone numbers offered for certain council services

If you need to contact the council outside of the above hours, you can do so on the out of hours phone numbers. There are two available:

1. Social services department – 0345 053 3116
2. All other council-run services – 0300 123 30 68

The social services department has two specific numbers to use during office hours, depending on whether your enquiry concerns adults or children. The numbers you would need are below:

• Enquiries about adults should be directed to 0300 456 1000
• Enquiries concerning children should be directed to 01824 712200

When are the council offices open?

County Hall is open between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday to Friday. The Caledfryn location is open from 9am until 5pm Monday to Thursday, with an earlier 4.30pm closing time on Fridays. If you require the licensing department, you should phone ahead on 01824 706342 to book an appointment.

Do check the opening times for the One Stop Shops and other locations, as these vary between venues and on different days as well.

Recycling and waste services:
A full range of recycling and bin collections is offered.

Denbighshire Archives:
This relates to historical records about the area, including birth and death certificates, marriage certificates, and many local documents relating to events in the council area.

Roads:
This department deals with repairs to roads, parking fines, and car parks in the area.
