Emergency services responded to an incident in Rhyl on the morning of Saturday 4th September, during which a 29 year old male fell from a window of a building on River Street.

As North.Wales reported at the time local roads surrounding the promenade were closed by officers at the scene to facilitate the landing of Helimed Helicopters and enable a casualty to be treated prior to transferring him to hospital.

Today local officers have revealed more about the incident.

In a brief statement police said, “We can now update the public that the man in question was in fact trying to evade capture by police.

“He was released from hospital and has since been recalled to prison.”
