A football club has launched a fundraiser to pay for CCTV cameras after a break in and vandalism at its ground.

CPD Y Rhyl 1879, formerly known as Rhyl Football Club, has been targeted twice in the last week, with a large amount of damage caused to the facilities at Belle Vue Stadium.

The first incident was a burglary which occurred overnight on Wednesday (November 17, 2021) during which the damage occurred.

A vehicle was later torched outside the football ground on Grange Road in the early hours of Friday at around 2.25am.

The club has started the fundraiser in order to pay for a CCTV system to prevent further incidents.

It said: “Following the recent break in and vandalism we are looking for support to fund CCTV to ensure we can protect our community football ground. If you can help and share that would fantastic.”
