Family pays tribute to mother and daughter tragically killed in crash on A487

Tributes have been paid to a mother and daughter who were tragically killed in a crash in Gwynedd last week.

Anwen Mitchelmore and Nancy Roberts died after the red Volkswagen Polo they were travelling in was involved in a collision with a lorry on the A487 between Gardolbenmaen and Penmorfa on Wednesday.

Relatives have now released a poem dedicated to the pair from Porthmadog which was written in Welsh.

Their family described them as “two best friends who were taken from us so cruelly”.

Dwy wên sy’n aros eleni – dwy wên

dyner a fu’n gwmni

erioed; dwy’n eu direidi’n

rhannu winc i’n cario ni.

The investigation to establish what happened is underway and officers continue to appeal to anybody who may be able to assist and who is yet to come forward to do so immediately quoting incident number Y100773.
