North Wales news and information

Anglesey Council provides a selection of services for residents on the Isle of Anglesey. There are several town council locations across Anglesey, but the main county council building is in Llangefni.

Where are the main council buildings located?

The address is Council Offices, Llangefni, Anglesey. The postcode is LL77 7TW. It is a short distance off the main High Street through Llangefni and can be reached from the north via the B5110. From the south, the A5114 is the best approach into the area.

Essential phone numbers for Anglesey Council

The main phone number for the council is 01248 750057. This is the number to call regardless of the department you wish to get through to. It is also possible to send a general enquiry via the online form on their website. If doing so, you should select this department from the options given.

What should you do if there is an emergency?

Four services have emergency numbers associated with them. These are as follows:

1. Highways services – call 01248 723062
2. Demand care services – call 0300 1236688
3. Housing services – call 08081 68 56 52
4. Social services – call 01248 353551

If you do not have access to these numbers when you require them, you can call the main switchboard at the council. A recorded message will relay the numbers for the emergency department contacts.

When are the council offices open?

If you wish to visit, you can head for Contact Mon at the above address between 8.30am and 5pm every weekday. However, the council buildings are closed on Bank Holidays.

There is a slight difference in the times you can call the council, with the earliest time for a response being 8.45am each weekday morning. The closing time is the same.
