A quantity of drugs and cash has been seized after police carried out two raids in Old Colwyn

Officers executed two search warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act in the area today, where they found cannabis, cannabis-infused food, cash and items associated with drug dealing.

Two men were arrested and an investigation is ongoing.

PC 3037 Lee, Community Beat Manager for the Old Colwyn area said: “Some people believe that cannabis dealing is a minor offence, however, it causes harm to our community and often has a greater impact on the most vulnerable, specifically those suffering with mental health problems and children who become victims of county lines and child criminal exploitation.

“Police and partner agencies regularly deal with the repercussions of cannabis misuse, which can be far reaching.

“Whenever there is sufficient evidence to take enforcement action against suspected drug dealers we will, to ensure our neighbourhoods are safe and to help make North Wales a safer place.”

If you have concerns about drug dealing or drug use, you can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111.
