Drone footage has emerged showing the extent of a large gorse fire which took place on Anglesey last night. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

Firefighters believe the blaze at Amwlch Port may have been started deliberately after eyewitnesses reported seeing people fleeing the scene. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

It took two crews more than three-and-a-half hours to put it out and smoke could be seen billowing for miles around. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

The video images below were captured and sent to North.Wales by Dylan Jones, who lives nearby. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

He told North.Wales: “I was in my garden last night when I could smell and see the smoke so I sent the drone up and over some fields to investigate. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

“The fire was about 500m away so a concern for me in case it spread my way. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

“By the time I’d set up and launched the drone the fire was well ablaze and had covered some area.” ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌
