Two sisters were clocked doing more than 100mph on the A55 just days apart.

A driver was stopped after being caught travelling at 103mph on a stretch of the dual carriageway at Tal-y-Bont.

The woman claimed she was late to catch the ferry when the officer noticed the car and registration plate looked familiar.

Officers said: “(He) realised he’d stopped the woman’s sister, driving the exact same car on the A55 a few days previously.

“She was caught driving at 107mph. Tut tut.

“Perhaps they were competing for the highest speed? Either way both will be dealt with for the offences.”
