Two arrested for wounding following early hours attack in Caernarfon

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of wounding following an early hours attack in Caernarfon.

Police officers came across a man who had been assaulted in the Ffordd Maes Barcer area shortly after midnight this morning.

A large amount of police activity has been reported on the estate throughout the day with several roads blocked off.

Video footage which appears to show the attack taking place has also emerged on Snapchat.

In a statement, North Wales Police said: “Shortly after midnight this morning, officers from the roads policing unit came across a man who had been the subject of an attack in the Ffordd Maes Barcer area of Caernarfon.

“Subsequent enquiries led to the arrest of two men on suspicion of Section 18 Wounding.

“We are aware of video footage of the incident, but would encourage anyone who has any information to contact us via our live webchat, or by calling 101 quoting reference Y052906.”
