Police have seized a large package believed to contain drugs after carrying out raids in Denbighshire.

Warrants were executed in St Asaph earlier today by local officers working with the North Wales Police Intercept Team.

Posting on Facebook, members of the team set up to target organised crime joked that they didn’t think the bag they uncovered contained oregano.

They said: “We assisted Denbigh officers with warrants in St Asaph this morning where this large bag of pungent herbal matter was discovered.

“Now, the interceptors are no master chefs and some of their lunch meals are quite questionable at times but even they know that this is no bag of oregano!”
