Six men have been arrested following a series of raids in Rhyl this week.

Police officers seized drugs, £1,000 of cash and a number of mobile phones as part of the operation.

It was carried out to tackle “county lines” drug gangs who flood towns with illegal substances, often exploiting children and vulnerable people to sell them.

In a statement posted on Twitter, the North Wales Police team based in Rhyl said: “Six males have been arrested over the past week as the Central Priority Crime Team, working closely with Merseyside Police, have stepped up attempts to disrupt County Lines.

“A number of drugs, over £1000 in cash, and numerous phones have been seized.”
