Police have taken action over anti-social driving on a beach in Gwynedd.

Officers issued section 59 notices to three vehicle owners at Black Rock Sands/Morfa Bychan Beach on the Llŷn Peninsula last night.

Failure to comply with the warning notice can lead to drivers having their cars seized.

Members of the North Wales Police Gwynedd South team have reminded people of their responsibility to drive safely.

They said: “The standard of driving along the beach should be the same as that expected on any road.

“With this in mind, and for the safety of all beach users, drivers are once again reminded of the following:

  1. No anti-social driving including stunt driving and racing of vehicles.
  2. All vehicles must be insured and have a valid MOT certificate
  3. All drivers must have a valid driving licence.

“Failure to adhere to the above may result in your vehicle being seized under the following powers:

  • Section 59 Police Reform Act 2022
  • Section 165a Road Traffic Act 1988.”
