Police have seized a knife and a quantity of white powder after carrying out a vehicle stop aimed at stopping the supply of drugs into North Wales.

Officers stopped a man driving a vehicle on Abergele Road, Colwyn Bay where the items were taken from a man who was later arrested.

Members of the North Wales Police Intercept Team joked that they didn’t think the seized articles were being used for cooking.

They said: “One of our team stopped a vehicle on Abergele Road, Colwyn Bay and found one chap who had an interest in the tools of the culinary arts (knife).

“Unfortunately his packed lunch consisted of several bundles of white powder which from where it was located, is suspected not to be a cooking ingredient.”
