Police renew appeal to find missing 88-year-old as family releases new picture

Police have renewed their appeal for information to help them find a missing 88-year-old.

James Berger has been missing from the Betws Yn Rhos area since Wednesday 8th September, with his family releasing the main image of the clothes he was last seen wearing.

He was last seen near to the Goat Hotel, and was on foot heading out of Beddgelert towards Llanfrothen.

It’s believed he may have been trying to make his way towards Croesor or Llanfrothen and may have been hitchhiking.

North Wales Police said: “We are appealing for information from anyone who was in the Beddgelert area on the afternoon of Wednesday 8/9 at around 3.30pm.

“We are also appealing to anyone travelling along the road from Beddgelert towards Llanfrothen between 3.30pm-5.30 pm who may have dashcam footage.

“He is believed to be wearing a maroon jumper and was carrying a white carrier bag.

“Did you see him along the road at this time or know of anyone who might have given him a lift?
