Police investigate after pedestrian injured in Rhyl hit-and-run incident

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run incident in Rhyl.

The incident happened at around 3.40pm on Thursday 1st February when a man was hit by a black vehicle on Ffordd Derwen, on the crossing opposite McDonalds and Ffordd Derwen pub.

The pedestrian was struck by the vehicle and sustained minor injuries. The driver involved did not stop at the scene and carried on driving.

It is believed the vehicle was driving in the direction of Ffordd Derwen onto the roundabout on Rhuddlan Road.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for any witnesses in relation to this who are able to offer us information of the vehicle involved, or any drivers who were in the area at the time may have dashcam to make contact with us via our live webchat or on 101 quoting ref 24000137684.”
