Police were called out after a group of 100 youngsters were found drinking on a beach in Gwynedd over the weekend.

Children as young as 12 were discovered to be drinking under age and causing anti-social behaviour at the beach party in Criccieth.

A 16-year-old boy from the Anglesey area was said to be dangerously intoxicated and an ambulance was called by police.

Due to the ambulance service being very busy, the boy’s parents had to take him to A&E instead.

North Wales Police’s Gwynedd South team said: “The picture attached below is just a fraction of alcohol seized by local officers.

“Drinking alcohol underage is illegal and is incredibly dangerous!”
