Police appeal over two burglaries on Anglesey which ‘may be linked’

Police investigating two burglaries which took place on Anglesey this week believe they may be linked.

The first break in was reported to have happened at an address in the Lon Conwy area of Benllech between 9am and 10.30pm on Wednesday (March 1st). A number of items were stolen.

The following day (Thursday March 2nd), a second burglary was reported to have happened between 5.30pm and 7pm in the Cae Melys area of Bodedern. An amount of cash was found to have been stolen.

Detective Inspector Richard Griffith said: “We are appealing for information following reports of two burglaries in the Bodedern and Benllench areas this week, which we believe may be linked.

“Whilst our enquiries continue, we wish to reassure residents that extra patrols are taking place in the area and are speaking to residents with advice on burglary prevention.

“We are asking residents to be vigilant for any suspicious behaviour in your area and to report any suspicious activity to police.

“We would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious on these dates, who may have CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact us.”

Anyone with information, or who may have witnessed anything suspicious, is asked to contact North Wales Police via the force’s website or by calling 101, quoting the crime reference numbers 23000178377 for the incident in Benllech and 23000182198 for the incident in Bodedern.
