A patient has been airlifted to hospital after rescuers from Llandudno and Conwy were called to help a person who had fallen into the sea.

The Conwy lifeboat team launched alongside the Llandudno Coastguard this evening after being called to provide medical assistance on a boat after one person fell into the water.

They were taken to Liverpool Aintree hospital by a search and rescue hospital to receive further treatment.

The Llandudno lifeboat team was then tasked to assist in securing the vessel to a jetty.

A spokesperson for the Conwy RNLI said: “A well orchestrated multi-agency shout where the assistance of both Coastguard, and flanking station Llandudno was greatly appreciated.”

Both lifeboats were later called on to help a second vessel with engine failure by towing it back to a mooring.
