Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries in crash in Dolwyddelan
A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Conwy county earlier this afternoon.
Police received a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a black-coloured Ford Fiesta shortly after 2pm on the A470 near to Dolwyddelan Castle.
The emergency services attended, including the air ambulance, and the motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital in Stoke with “potentially life changing” injuries.
The driver of the Fiesta was uninjured.
Sergeant Jason Diamond of the roads policing unit is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
He said: “I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have been travelling along the A470 and who may have dash cam footage to contact us.
“Equally, I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed two motorcycles, whereby both riders wearing black leathers and black motorcycle helmets, being ridden between Betws-y-Coed and Dolwyddelan shortly prior to the collision to get in touch.”
