A man has been jailed following a recent spike in thefts and break-ins targeting outbuildings in Rhos-on-Sea.

The local man was arrested, charged and convicted in relation to a number of linked offences after police received information from members of the public.

He received a 52-week custodial sentence at Llandudno Magistrates Court on February 4th.

North Wales Police said: “Since this sentence has been imposed we have had no further reports of this type of offending in that area.

“This highlights both the important part the community play in local policing and what can be achieved through close working of the two strands of the local policing team in west Conwy.

“Please can we remind people that if you need to contact the police to use the online web chat service or 101 non emergencies. Should the call be urgent then please call 999.”
