Huge traffic delays in Holyhead amid reports of problem at port
Huge traffic delays have been reported in Holyhead this afternoon amid reports of problems at the town’s port.
Drivers have shared pictures of the gridlock in the area with Traffic Wales saying ferry cancellations are to blame for the issues.
One person said they had been told by port staff that the cancellations were down to problems with its log in system.
The traffic information service said: “Heavy congestion in the area due to ferry cancellations.
“Please allow additional time if travelling in the area.”
Below are some images showing the extent of the queues.
