A group of 15 people have been reported for breaching Covid-19 regulations after renting out an Airbnb property in North Wales to hold a party.

Officers said they came across the group staying at a property in the village of Efenechtyd, Denbighshire on Saturday night.

All of them were sent home and police said they would be following the issue up with the owners of the property and Airbnb.

Posting on Facebook, they said: “15 + people from outside Wales thought it would be a good idea to have a party in Efenechtyd, Saturday night.

“All sent home and reported for COVID breaches.

“We will be following up with the owners of the property and Airbnb as this shouldn’t be happening.”
