A drug dealer has been jailed after being caught in possession of an axe and knife in Rhyl.
Eamon O’Rourke, a 28-year old from the Blackpool area, was arrested in June following a proactive investigation into a county lines drug operation, where he was also found to have cash and class A drugs on him.
He was found guilty of several offences at Caernarfon Crown Court and sentenced to four years and six months imprisonment.
A separate warrant was also executed at an address in Sydenham Avenue, Rhyl on October 14th, resulting in officers finding Class A drugs and cash, the total exceeding £17,000.
As a result, 21-year-old Nicolas Williams from the Manchester area pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing class A drugs with the intent to supply and has been sentenced to two years in prison.
Detective Inspector Elfyn Hughes said: “These sentences send out a clear message that North Wales Police will relentlessly pursue those who cause serious harm to our communities.
“Those who supply Class A drugs will be dealt with robustly and put before the courts to face the consequences of their crimes.
“It must be highlighted that the sentences handed out reflect the difference between a guilty and not guilty plea.”
“There is no hiding place and no stone will be left unturned, but we rely on the continued help and support from our communities to ensure that North Wales is the safest place in the UK.”
