Adrenaline junkies could soon get a taste of adventure if an exciting attraction gets the green light at a Towyn caravan park.

A high ropes course for children and adults is proposed at Whitehouse Leisure Parks on Towyn Road whilst a spa, outside bar, bowling alley, and rooftop bar are also planned.

Applicant Jonathon Seldon of SF Parks has applied to Conwy County Council seeking planning permission for the rope course.

The company, who own four parks in North Wales, including Golden Gate Holiday Centre, Sun Valley, and Sirior Bach, also revealed they will be submitting more planning applications in the coming weeks.

Jonathan Seldon, operations director of SF Parks, said, “We are thrilled to be making this initial application for a high ropes course.

“If it goes ahead then it will be an exhilarating experience with numerous exciting features, which further expands the variety of facilities at Whitehouse Leisure Park.

“Along with other planning applications that we currently have underway, this upgrade demonstrates SF Parks’ long-term commitment to continued investment and enhancements, which drive the future of our parks.

“In the last few years, we have completed our swimming pool and clubhouse building along with an indoor play area at Golden Gate Holiday Centre, as well as a nine-hole crazy golf course and themed outside beach bar at Whitehouse Leisure Park, which was opened earlier this year.

“Partnering with Alice of AK Architects has enabled us to develop a suite of projects which has captured the vision for the future of SF Parks – we are committed to ensuring that the families who stay with us have the best possible time while making precious memories.”

Mr Seldon added the company will also be applying for a spa and leisure facility, an outside ‘container club’ bar, bowling alley, and a rooftop bar.

He added: “We hope that these investments are great news for our customers, staff, and the local economy.

“We see this project helping to keep Towyn as a key holiday destination – we know that keeping customers coming to the area is vital as they contribute to neighbouring businesses.”

If the plans get the go-ahead, the rope course will create four jobs at the caravan park.

The plans will be debated at a future Conwy County Council planning committee meeting.
