A community has rallied to show its support for a North Wales family targeted by racist graffiti.

Police today stepped up their efforts to find the person responsible for spray painting a swastika on the garage door of Margaret Ogunbanwo, who lives in Penygroes, Gwynedd.

It follows the release of footage showing a man officers want to speak to in connection with the incident.

Villagers have today shown the family their backing by gathering to wash the symbol off her property.

According to the Dyffryn Nantlle events and activities Facebook page, around 40 residents turned up to help clear it.

Meanwhile, a pop-up choir also performed this afternoon outside Soar Chapel to show their solidarity against racism.
