A man has been arrested on suspicion of domestic offences after armed police attended an address on Anglesey this morning.

Officers issued a statement earlier today to say they were dealing with an ongoing incident in Llangefni and urged people to avoid the area.

They have now confirmed a local man has been taken into custody.

Members of the Anglesey policing team said: “Further to our statement regarding an incident in Llangefni this morning, we can confirm that officers have arrested a local man on suspicion of domestic related offences.

“Although armed officers were in attendance, the incident was concluded peacefully and there are no further concerns for the general public.

“We would like to thank the local community for their assistance whilst we dealt with this matter.”
