A woman from Anglesey who assaulted three police officers just hours after being released from prison has received an instant return.

Anita Jones, 35, of Llanfairpwll recently carried out the offence, putting her in breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order.

Yesterday, she was returned to prison by magistrates for a further 50 weeks.

Inspector Llinos Davies said: “Yet again, this is another example of police officers being subject to violent attacks whilst keeping the community safe.

“This type of behaviour will never be tolerated, and we will deal robustly with those who think it is normal to behave in such an anti-social manner.”

North Wales Police Federation Secretary Mark Jones said: “This is a case of a repeat offender making a conscious choice to violently attack three of our colleagues who are trying to do their job.

“This is, and always will be, completely unacceptable and we have no sympathy towards those who assault our brave emergency services as they try to protect others.

“Attacks on emergency services are occurring on a daily basis and those vile individuals who do commit such crimes need to know that they will end up behind bars; and rightly so.”
