Anglesey man who attacked pub security staff and police officer jailed for two years

A man from Anglesey has bee jailed for two years after attacking a pub security guard and a police officer.

Kevin Humphrey Jones from the Valley area was also sentenced at Caernarfon Crown Court for possessing an offensive weapon, threatening a person with a knife and actually bodily harm.

It followed an incident at the Bull Hotel, Valley on 21st of November 2020 when he assaulted security staff.

Whilst receiving medical assistance at Ysbyty Gwynedd, he later assaulted a police officer in attendance.

PC Lee Starkie of Holyhead station, said: “Knife crime and assaults on emergency workers will not be tolerated.

“We will take robust action to target and prosecute those who carry knives in our communities, and I would encourage the public to contact crime stoppers on 0800 555 111 to anonymously report those who carry knives.”
