Yellow weather warning issued as heavy rain hits North Wales
A yellow weather warning has been issued as heavy rain arrived in North Wales earlier today.
The Met Office has advised people to expect disruption after a warning was put in place from 11am this morning until 5am tomorrow.
It covers parts of Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire and Wrexham.
Between 25-40mm of rain is expected widely across most areas, with 70mm possible over the peaks of Snowdonia.
The national weather service said flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely, with bus and train services probably affected, causing longer journey times.
It said spray and flooding on the roads should also be expected, along with some interruption to power supplies.
Amber warnings have also been issued for other parts of the UK, where the likelihood of flooding is more severe.
