Witness appeal after 83 year old lady dies following RTC on B4401 between Cynwyd and Llandrillo

Sadly an 83 year old lady has died following a road traffic collision that occurred on the B4401 between Cynwyd and Llandrillo on Tuesday 15th February.

She was a front seat passenger in a blue coloured Ford Focus that left the road, ending up in a field at approximately 5.20pm. She was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital from the scene, but sadly passed away on Wednesday 23rd February.

The driver was taken to hospital and has since been discharged with minor injuries.

The Acting Senior Coroner for North East Wales, Ms Katie Sutherland has been informed.

Sergeant Raymond Williams of the Roads Policing Unit is appealing for witnesses. He said: “I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the lady’s family at this difficult time.

“Can I please ask that anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or anyone who was travelling along the B4401 from Corwen towards the scene of the collision, and saw a blue coloured Ford Focus being driven on that road to contact us immediately to assist my team with our investigation.”
