Former BBC presenter turned Gwynedd church pastor appears in court on 40 sex offence charges

A former BBC presenter has appeared in court today in relation to 40 sex offences.

Ben Thomas, who later became a pastor at the Criccieth Family Church, was charged with a range of sexual offences following an investigation by North Wales Police.

He appeared at Llandudno Magistrates Court with his next hearing due at Mold Crown Court next month.

The police force said: “This is now an ongoing matter for the courts and it would be inappropriate to make any further comment.

“If anybody who has not already spoken to us feels they may have information of relevance to the enquiry please make contact using the following methods.”
