Two youths arrested after ‘arson’ at St Asaph bowling green

Two youths have been arrested after a shelter at a bowling green is said by police to have been deliberately set alight.

Police and the fire service attended the bowling green in St Asaph on Saturday after reports of arson.

North Wales Police said: “Two local youths were swiftly arrested who have since admitted to setting fire to part of the bowling green, they have been given bail conditions to which they must adhere to.

“We will be increasing patrols in the area, if anybody sees anything suspicious please contact us on 101 or 999 if it’s an emergency.”
