Two arrests made after crash near Barmouth which left woman with serious injuries

Two arrests have been made in relation to a serious road crash which happened near Barmouth last month.

A 16-year-old youth and a 24-year-old man – both from the Dolgellau area – have been arrested on suspicion of numerous driving offences.

They have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

A 27-year-old woman suffered serious life-changing injuries in the collision on Sunday 31st October and remains in hospital in Stoke.

It happened shortly before 8:10pm on the A496 in an area known as the Glandwr Straight and involved a blue coloured VW Golf.

North Wales Police said: “Officers continue to appeal to anybody who may have information in relation to the collision, or to anybody who may have been travelling along the A496 between Barmouth and Dolgellau around the time of the collision and who has dash cam, to contact them immediately.
