Three people have been arrested after they are suspected to have been involved in stealing cooking oil.

Police received reports that individuals in a van were visiting businesses in North Wales and trying to steal their used cooking oil.

Members of North Wales Police’s Intercept and Roads Policing teams set out to track them down.

The vehicle was stopped at Llandulas yesterday and was found to contain a large amount of used cooking oil, all which is suspected to be stolen.

The intercept team said: “Three slippery characters in custody and criminal property taken out of the hands of suspected members of an Organised Crime Gang.”
