Police have issued a warning after receiving reports of youths throwing eggs at cars in Conwy.

Officers said there had been numerous complaints from concerned residents and drivers about youngsters launching eggs at vehicles from the walls of the town’s castle.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the youths involved.

Members of the North Wales Police West Conwy Coastal team said their actions could lead to a serious accident.

They said: “We urge for local businesses and members of the public to report any incidents they witness to North Wales Police, as the potential of such anti-social behaviour could result in a serious car accident.

“Can we also remind parents that at this time, children should not be meeting outdoors with friends from other households as per the government guidelines.”
