Police step up patrols following anti-social behaviour problems in Conwy communities

Police are stepping up their patrols following an increase in anti-social behaviour problems in in Conwy county.

The communities affected by youths causing issues include Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Conwy and Llandudno Junction.

North Wales Police have pledged to take action against those involved and have urged parents to check where their children are.

In a post on Facebook, officers from the West Conwy Coastal policing team said: “The issues involve youths predominantly causing problems to the public, local business and being a general nuisance in these areas.

“Heightened and visible patrols will take place in these areas to deter further incidents. Positive action will be taken against any youth(s) seen to be causing anti-social behaviour.

“We ask parents/carers in these areas to be vigilant of their child/children who are going out in these areas and ask for the message to be reinforced.”
