Police launch urgent appeal for help tracing teenager missing from Abergele area
Update from North Wales Police at 1.03pm: “Missing person Lucy has now been found and is safe. Thanks to the public for your assistance and social media shares.”
Police are urgently appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of 14-year-old Lucy, who has been missing from the Abergele area since around 8pm on Tuesday, 28th March.
Growing concerns for her welfare have led to increased police activity in the area, with the National Police Air Service, dog unit, and drone unit assisting in the search.
Lucy is described as being 5ft 2″ tall, with dark purple shoulder-length hair.
She was last seen wearing a blue hoodie and leggings.
Police have asked the public to be vigilant and report any sightings of Lucy to our control room via 999.
Superintendent Owain Llewellyn said: “Lucy was last seen by family members at their home in Abergele shortly after 8pm on Tuesday evening.
“Our concern is growing due to the length of time she has been missing and the public will see a lot of police activity in the Abergele area today.
“We are being assisted by colleagues from the National Police Air Service, dog unit and drone unit.
“My ask of the public is that any potential sightings are reported urgently to the police control room.”
