Police have issued a plea to parents as anti-social behaviour issues in Rhyl continue.

Officers have received recent reports from business owners and members of the public of youths involved in intimidation, verbal abuse, drinking alcohol, thefts and assaults.

North Wales Police have pledged to stamp out the problem but are asking parents to check where their children go at night.

They also want help to identify those involved in causing anti-social behaviour issues.

The local policing team for the Denbighshire coastal and Abergele area said on Facebook: “Do you know where your teenage sons and daughters are?

“A large number of the youths are well known to North Wales Police and are being dealt with accordingly, however, we also depend on information from the public too as they will deliberately cover their faces and hide their identity.

“North Wales Police will not tolerate this kind of behaviour and will actively seek out repeat offenders and deal with them robustly.

“Any information regarding large groups of youths causing issues, please contact us via our webchat or by using the 101 or 999 in an emergency.”
