Police investigate after pig’s head dumped in public in ‘deeply distressing’ incident

Police in North Wales are investigating the “illegal butchering” of a pig after its head was dumped in a public place.

The animal is reported to have been slaughtered in the back garden of a house in the north of Denbighshire.
Officers said the culprits then decided to dump the head in a public place.

Members of the Rural Crime Team said the incident had left residents shocked.

They said: “We are investigating the illegal butchering of a pig in the back garden of a house in north Denbighshire.

“It couldn’t get worse but it does as they then decided to dump the head in a public place
“Deeply distressing and shocking to the community.”
