A thief was quickly arrested after stealing a bike from outside a shop in Colwyn Bay over the weekend.

Police arrived swiftly at the scene after the theft occurred close to the town’s Boot store on Saturday.

Officers have confirmed the bike, which was left unsecured, has now been returned to its owner.

They said: “An insecure bike was stolen outside Boots in Colwyn Bay on Saturday. Officers were quick to the area and arrested the suspect and returned stolen bike.

“A male has been charged with theft. It’s not always a good result. Always secure your bike, no matter how long you’ll be away.”
