Police appeal for witnesses after driver suffers serious injuries in crash near Abergele

Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver suffered serious injuries in a crash near Abergele.

Officers were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the B5381 by Glascoed Road shortly before 10am on Saturday.

The driver of a silver-coloured Mercedes 320 is currently in hospital in Stoke with serious injuries, while a passenger remains in Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.

Two people travelling in a white Traffic box van also sustained minor injuries in the collision.

PC Pete Doran of the roads police unit said: “We are especially keen to speak with a driver of a vehicle which stopped at the scene but left a short while later without leaving any details.

“If that person was you please contact us as soon as possible.”

Anybody who may have information regarding the collision is asked to contact officers at the central roads policing unit based in St Asaph on 101 or via live webchat quoting reference number Y076929.
