Police are appealing for witnesses following a hate related incident that happened in Bangor city centre last month.

People travelling in a grey Audi reportedly began shouting and throwing items at a couple who were walking along the High Street between 7-8pm on June 6, 2024.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated common assault and racially aggravated harassment and was bailed with conditions.

Following further enquiries, officers believe more people may have been present in the car at the time.

“Anyone with information that could assist our enquiries should contact us via out website, by align 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers quoting reference 24000505824.”
