Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in Holyhead last night.

Officers from the Anglesey policing team were called at 9.20pm to an address in Cyttir Close along with colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, and is currently in custody in Caernarfon.

Acting District Inspector Ian Roberts said: “Members of the public would have seen a large police presence in the area at that time, and I can confirm this was an isolated incident.

“Anyone with information or may have witnessed a disturbance, please contact us via live webchat, call 101 or speak to Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting X078121.”
