Police appeal for witnesses after crash on A5 Anglesey leaves cyclist with ‘life changing injuries’

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash on the A5 on Anglesey which has left a cyclist with “life changing injuries”.

Officers are investigating the collision, involving a black Volkswagen Scirocco and a cyclist, which took place on the A5, near Anglesey Showground, Gwalchmai, last night

The cyclist was later taken to hospital in Stoke for treatment.

Sergeant Liam Morris of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Can I request that any witnesses contact us if they saw a cyclist travelling West along this stretch in the direction of Gwalchmai last night at between 9pm and 9.30pm.

“Please call us on 101 or use our Live Webchat, quoting reference Z158262.”
